This page explains what BillHours stores and why. It is written in plain English for a small UK service. It is not legal advice.

Who runs BillHours

BillHours is operated by Robert Docherty, a UK sole trader. Contact: robertdocherty86@gmail.com.

What we store

When you create an account we store the details you type in, in a SQLite database on the server that hosts BillHours:

• your name, email address, and a hashed password (we do not store the password itself)
• business details you add in Settings (business name, address, VAT number if you enter one, payment notes)
• clients, time entries, and invoices you create
• your plan (free, monthly, or annual) and, if you pay, the Stripe customer and subscription ids we need to match your payment to your account

We do not sell personal data. We do not run advertising or third-party analytics on this site.

Payments

Stripe processes subscription payments (Stripe Managed Payments, as merchant of record). Card numbers and similar payment details are handled by Stripe, not stored in BillHours. Stripe’s own privacy notice applies to that payment data.

Cookies

We set a session cookie so you stay logged in. It is not used for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while the account exists, so you can come back to invoices and timesheets. Email robertdocherty86@gmail.com to ask for your account and its data to be deleted. We may keep the minimum records needed for tax or to resolve a dispute.

Your invoices are yours

Invoices you create are documents between you and your clients. You are responsible for what they say, and for telling your clients what you do with their details.
